Walid K. Awad

Walid Awad joined CQRA in 2019 as Chairman after over 10 years in the construction sector and a distinguished career in government contracts and the private sector. Walid was elected Chairman of the Board in 2020.
Throughout his career, Walid gained significant experience managing complex contracts. He directed and managed subcontract operations with a focus on compliance, quality control, construction management, project interruption, and rush replacements. He has extensive expertise in claims and contracts administration.
Walid began his career in 2008 at the Louis Berger Group SAS, where he was in charge of claims review in Central Africa. He then worked as a Civil Engineer on Federal contracts in the United States with Kiewit Corporation. In 2010, he was employed by the Saudi Binladin Group as Project Engineer where he became Manager of the railway contract of the King AbdulAziz International Airport development project. In 2017, Walid joined Bombardier Inc. in South East Asia, where he worked as Civil Engineer on the Bangkok urban railway upgrade project. He resigned in the same year to join ACTS Group.
